May 27, 2010 marked one of the most memorable moments of my life. Hands down, it was a day I will never forget. After waiting for 8 long years, the only band I ever wanted to see perform live, Dashboard Confessional, graced the stage at the parking area of Trinoma mall in QC.

Getting early bird VIP tickets was well worth it because me and my friend, Jgo, were seated at the very front of the VIP area. With only 10 rows of the VVIPs separating us from the stage that Christopher Ender Carrabba played, our hearts were really stolen by his brilliance. He sounds and looks amazing live.
I pretty much shouted all of the songs the entire time. Even when my voice gave out after the 4th song, I continued singing out-of-tune. The band didn’t follow the set list that was originally planned but were able to perform 17 songs. I really wished they played The Best Deceptions, though. Thanks to Bryan for listing down the set list during the concert.
- Don’t Wait
- Good Fight
- Saints and Sailors
- The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most
- Carry This Picture
- Everybody Learns From The Disaster
- Belle of the Boulevard
- El Scorcho (cover)
- Screaming Indefelities
- The Swiss Army Romance
- As Lovers Go
- Rooftops and Invitation
- Remember to Breathe
- Get Me Right
- Vindicated
- Stolen
- [ENCORE] Hand’s Down
The experience was surreal. The audience were singing together with Chris, which is a trademark in most DC concerts as Chris always lets the crowd sing the songs. I recorded a few videos but after playing it back, it was almost useless because I moved a lot. As in I really moved a lot. I jumped and kicked around and swayed and was totally spastic during the entire thing.
One memorable thing that happened was right before they sang Hands Down, I jumped over the barricade over to the VVIP section. Hahahaha. One of the bouncers saw me and when I saw him going my direction, I immediately ran back and went back to the VIP. Hahahaha, I’m such a spaz. But whatever it takes to get closer to Chris, right?!?!
I never actually thought the day would come when Dashboard Confessional will go to Manila and have a concert. With that, I would like to thank Manila Concert Scene for making this event happen. The whole thing was organized very well. I am forever grateful. :)

I AM SO JEALOUS. :( I know almost all the songs on the playlist, would have been so amazing to see DC!
Glad you had a blast! ♥
may hangover pa akooooooooooooo!!!!
Stella: But you’re in Canada! The chances of you watching them should be higher, right? Hahaha.
Jgo: Ako diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnn!!!
Hyper concert hangover much? Hahaha, I know the feeling. I MISS that feeling! =) I wish I were there, maganda yung setlist nila. I could only imagine the “fans” that could probably relate/sing to only the last 3 songs. Hahaha
^ Actually there WERE people who only knew those 3 songs + Belle of the Boulevard. Most of them are in the VVIP section. Eyeroll. Those guys were sitting down the entire time!
Haha I was a bit sad to see those at the VVIP weren’t hardcore fans like us. XD
Sorry for barging in here but I can’t help but agree with you and bryan. those VVIPs were sooo lame. such a disgrace and shame that Chris had to see them instead of hardcore fans like us who know the lyrics to all of their songs. I’m not sure though if we sounded solid enough. I fear that the venue (open area) drowned out our voices. but DC rocked! Best concert ever.
