A road trip to Tagaytay won’t be complete if you don’t stop by the Picnic Grove. Of course, this is for regular people only who don’t have enough cash to hang out at the more expensive places in Tagaytay, which is exactly what we were when we went to the highlands. And for only P25 for an entrance fee, it seemed like a good deal. Epek kung epek.
Actually, I had two goals going in: mag-food trip and to have a new photo for my Facebook profile. Baket? Bawal? Bawal maging vain? Kayo lang may karapatan? Char. So I thought the place would be a perfect place for a simple photoshoot because of the spectacular view that would serve as a nice background. And the place did not disappoint at all.
The cool Tagaytay breeze was literally a breath of fresh air from the summer heat in Manila. Although after walking around and climbing several sets of stairs, I found myself sweating profusely again. But still, I was able to take some photos of the place. I even have a few stolen shots from some pa-sweet lovers that would eventually break up. Char.
I’ve been to Picnic Grove before but this was the first time I explored the area, going around the Eco Trail and all. They also have a Zipline and I had to think twice about riding one. One ride would cost me P200 and P300 for a 2-way ride. I figured I’ll just wait for the Zipline adventure in Davao and save the cash for more food! What was nice is that I was able to take some photos of people riding the zipline. It seemed hella fun but made me a bit apprehensive on how it would feel like to be riding one. Isa kasi akong malaking duwagers.
After the Eco Trail, we hung out at one of the cottages. Renting a cottage is supposed to cost us P150 but no one came to get any payment from us. Oh well, papel. After a good 30 minutes of hanging out and kodakan moments, we decided to hit it off because we still had a full day planned.
The first time I went to Tagaytay was with my college friends and we had an actual photoshoot chever at People’s Park in the Sky and other places. Photos can be seen below. Kami na ang vain! Simple road trips like these are best spent with fabulous friends who are up for anything!
