To maintain the personal updates on this blog, I thought of doing a monthly report where I would enumerate the highlights for that particular month in the form of a countdown. Now, granted that I wasn’t able to document August properly, I can only remember three moments that I can talk about.
3 – My first visit to Subspace Coffee House
I was itching to visit Subspace Coffee House ever since I read an article about it in Spot.ph, so I immediately contacted my favorite food blogger, Smarla of Everyday Sweet Notes, and planned a day just to check out the place.
The offbeat interior, the unique drinks, the sort-of cute baristas, it was love at first sight! Hehe. I’m even planning to return to the place soon before I write a proper blog post about it.

2 – The Globe Tatt Awards
So I was surprised that I got nominated and became a finalist in the first ever Globe Tatt Awards under the Artiste category. Early on, I was aware of my slim chances because I was put in a category with accomplished people who have had established a name for themselves. For that, I was both honored and proud.
During the event, I was able to meet a lot of influential people and had another chance to hear Paramita and Up Dharma Down perform live! I was in good company with Jgo and Dani and I was able to get a photo with Artiste winner Jin Joson. Back in college, I had a little crush on her when I saw her cosplaying as Naruto and Ichigo… but then I found out she’s a girl and my world shattered then. Hahaha.
By the way, thanks to everyone who voted and campaigned for me! You guys are awesome! :D

1 – A weekend in Bolinao
It was a very stressful month. Good thing that after one particular toxic week, I was able to have another escape and go back to one of the best beaches I’ve seen in the country. Together with Darwin, Cai, and Karlo, we headed to Bolinao, Pangasinan to visit Josh and spend a weekend by the beaches of Patar. It was magical then, it was even more enchanting now.
We had loads of fun! But of course, a trip wouldn’t be complete without some… ehem… personal photoshoots.

1. Watching Zombadings 1 (I had no photos of the actual night)
2. A friend’s party at Somerset (because it’s a private thing)
With this monthly highlights thing, I hope I will be able to document each month and bring light to the positive events in my life instead of the negative ones.
