I’ve seen all four previous installments of the Karate Kid franchise (although I vaguely remember the details from each) and all I can say is the latest one featuring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan tops all the previous ones! Continue reading

A full week has passed since the first season of Glee ended with its EPIC finale so I am here to give an obligatory Top 10 list. Because, really, people need to make lists out of everything, right? Continue reading

July is Philippines-Japan Friendship Month! And to celebrate this month-long festivity, the Japanese Contemporary Film Festival called Eiga Sai 2010 will open the event on July 1 at the Shangri La Plaza Mall. Continue reading

Growing up, we only had one television in the house so specific viewing times had to be assigned to prevent verbal warfare. To extend my viewing pleasure when I was a kid, I sometimes watch during my sister’s shift where I can only allow myself see two of her regular shows. ‘Friends‘ was where I got a little of my sense of humor and concept of friendship. The other one was Sex and the City, because as a horny teen, I thought there would be lots of sex scenes in it. Continue reading

So You Think You Can Dance is back for a whole new season! This time around, there are a few changes that will affect the mechanics of the show. One of which is the addition of the All-Stars. These All-Stars are contestants, mostly fan favorites, from past seasons of the show. Continue reading

It’s been more than a week since I saw this hilarious movie that just proves that Philippine comedy is up for a bonggang bonggang comeback! Last night, Karleh and I went to a friend’s class exhibit at the Top Shelf of Fully Booked High Street. The friend is Lou Pineda, talented illustrator and my personal baby bear. The exhibit is Oh Sh*rt, and based on the MMA exhibits I’ve seen in the past, this was definitely not just another one of those. Continue reading

After 3 days of ‘soul-searching’, I just had to get out there and do something that doesn’t require me to click anything on the computer screen. Fortunately, I was able to drag my dear friend, Carissa, to have a very impromptu movie date to watch How to Train Your Dragon in Glorietta. After grabbing a quick bite at Heaven&Eggs, we went ahead without much expectations and it did us some favors. Continue reading

Last Thursday, I was finally able to watch Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland in 3D with LHF who I haven’t seen since the holidays. Since I’ve been living under a rock ever since I graduated, this was the very first time I saw a movie in 3d. I am so cool. Continue reading
