On turning 25

Prepared by a Landscape Architect! Hahahaha!

Every first of November, I would spend my day alone at home while my parents are visiting a couple of cemeteries. When the night falls (my lonely heart calls? lol.), my mom would cook pasta and we’d eat separately in our respective rooms while I answer greetings on my Facebook wall. That’s usually how I spend my birthday. No celebrations, no gifts, no biggie. I’m used to it and it’s really not a big deal. Continue reading

New camera straps from Punchdrunk Panda!

Punchdrunk Panda is back with a new collection of camera accessories! Last October 26, they released a batch of new designs for their camera straps with illustrations from Rob Cham, Joseph Velasquez, Pat Manlapas, and Gail Go. Bet na bet! Where else can you find things like these locally? I don’t know.  Continue reading

Filipino Pride at the Global Pinoy bazaar

This coming November 5 to 6, Yabang Pinoy will be having its annual Global Pinoy bazaar that showcases Filipino made products and aims to motivate Filipino entrepreneurs to believe in their ideas and to always aspire for excellence at all times. What I find really awesome about this event is that they promote and help local entreps with products made with 100% Filipino Love and Pride Continue reading

Tiger Translate Manila: Nuno X Ekis graffiti showdown on the 18th!

Something I’m really excited about for November is attending this event from Tiger Translate Manila. They will be having a series of bar tours in the next few months that will help promote Filipino artists in the process. For now, they are kicking things off with an event on November 18 featuring the 1st Graffiti Showdown between KSTPhilippines’ Nuno and Ekis, to the music of Turbo Goth, and with tons of Tiger Beer! Katha 1/3: Kids with imaginary friends

For the lack of any updates, actually I’m just not in the mood to do anything significant lately, I am posting something from the past. Back in college, we had to come up with some sort of finale project that would showcase our skills and I decided to create a children’s storybook about kids with imaginary friends. It was originally supposed to be 3 different stories but the time frame was no longer realistic for me. Blame it on my procrastinating skills!  Continue reading

A Map for Saturday

Documentaries are not my thing because I always I associate them with depressing images. Most of the time, I’d rather be ignorant to the sad reality and just stay inside my happy bubble. However, when I heard about A Map for Saturday, a documentary about the lifestyle of backpack travellers, I had to make an exception.  Continue reading

The Creative Dork in Mapua!

After a couple of seminars in DLSU and Letran, I am now heading to Mapua Institute of Technology this October 14 for an Illustration seminar. I will be speaking about vector illustration at 9:00 AM (good luck waking up, Robbie), and my friend Aseo will be taking the spot in the afternoon. Catch us if you can!

It’s a 3-hour talk (yikes!), so apart from my usual presentation, I will also be showing a video and a live demo during the last half. I think the seminar is open to non-Mapuans but you’ll have to pay P30.00 per session. See you there! =)

Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point, expanding and opening more doors

We were finally having dinner after a grueling 8-hour ride by van to La Union. My mouth was having a foodgasm from eating their poached fish, when Nica mentioned that in order to accommodate us bloggers for this tour, they had to block off the dates several months before. As it turned out, Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point is fully booked on weekends for the entire year, especially holidays. Continue reading

Hello.

There was a time when I used to believe I was fearless. And maybe I was. I can do whatever I want and be whoever I wanted to be. College does that to some people, and I was led to believe that I have the whole world in my hands to the point where I thought I could just sit quietly on my bed and wait for things to fall on my lap. Spoiled? Yes. Self-centered? Yes. Continue reading

LOOKBOOK: Finding the light at Binondo

What I wore while exploring Binondo with good friends: 1. Ukay love for P40.00, 2. 21Men, 3. Headware, 4. Dean&Trent, 5. Kickers. I’m not a fashionista but I enjoy planning my outfits every time I go out. Should’ve considered ironing out my shorts before I left the house though. Hahaha. Thanks to Darwin for taking the photos.
